The services take place at 11.30 am on Sundays in Kilconquhar
from April to September, moving to Colinsburgh from October until
March. Along with the regular services and weddings Kilconquhar
and Colinsburgh Churches host a variety of meetings and events
for the parish, surrounding community and visitors. For example
there are afternoon teas served at Kilconquhar Church on selected
Sunday afternoons and a Monthly Coffee Morning in Colinsburgh
Church Hall on the first Saturday of every month from 10.15am
onwards.
Baptisms - There are certain guidelines which all mainline Churches
follow, with regard to the sacrament of baptism. Parents who
are
seeking baptism for a baby or child should contact Rev. Brian
McDowell on 01333 330685 as soon as
possible. He will be glad to explain the procedure to you. Many
people are baptised as adults, usually
when joining the membership of the Church. Again, the minister
will be happy to speak with you about this. With one exception,
all the major denominations in Scotland recognise one another’s
baptism. It is a ‘once and for all event’. It is a
happy occasion for church and family alike.
